Fuel shortage
Fuel shortages could be caused through an industrial accident, strike action or blockades, which may lead to panic buying. This in turn may reduce available supplies.
What can you do
- Maintain your vehicle so it's as fuel efficient as possible, and check your tyre pressure
- Minimise journeys during fuel shortages (essential journeys only)
- Consider alternative methods of transport such as public transport, cycling, or walking
